Key Responsibilities

- Perform, supervise and interpret molecular diagnostic tests, including real-time PCR.

- Oversee clinical pathology, haematology, biochemistry and cytology services.

- Maintain quality control, diagnostic accuracy and timely reporting.

- Supervise laboratory staff, allocate duties and monitor performance.

- Manage procurement and inventory of test kits, reagents and consumables, including expiry tracking.

- Oversee equipment maintenance, laboratory records, SOPs and biosafety procedures.

- Coordinate with veterinarians and referral hospitals to support patient care.

Qualifications & Experience

- BVSc & AH; a postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Pathology preferred.

- 23 years of relevant experience in veterinary diagnostics and laboratory operations.

- Hands-on experience in real-time PCR, quality assurance and diagnostic reporting.

- Experience in team supervision, inventory management and procurement.

- Solid organisational, communication and leadership skills.
