Job Summary

Support the Engineering & Design team in preparing and maintaining mechanical drawings and 3D models using Solid Edge. The trainee works under senior guidance and takes on more responsibility as competence grows.

Key Responsibilities

1. 2D Drafting: Prepare and modify part, assembly and manufacturing drawings with correct dimensions, tolerances, material and surface finish details.
2. 3D Modelling: Create and modify basic 3D parts and assemblies, keeping models and drawings in sync.
3. Drawing Interpretation: Read mechanical drawings, understand standards and basic GD&T;, and escalate discrepancies or missing information to seniors.
4. Production Support: Prepare drawings for manufacturing, clarify queries with Production and Quality, and incorporate approved changes.
5. BOM & Documentation: Prepare and update BOMs. Follow drawing numbering, revision control and document management procedures.
6. Change Management: Update drawings and models per Engineering Change Notes. Maintain revision history and release only approved revisions.
7. Quality Checks:



Self-check drawings for dimensional and drafting errors before review, and learn from review comments.
8. Learning: Build skills in Solid Edge, design principles and machining processes through training and feedback.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production or a related discipline
- Freshers welcome
- Basic knowledge of Solid Edge or other CAD software preferred
- Knowledge of machining or manufacturing processes is an advantage

Required Skills
- Basic Solid Edge proficiency, 2D drafting and 3D modelling
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, with an understanding of dimensions and tolerances
- Analytical and problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to learn and ability to work under supervision

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
