About the internship

Medinex Workforce stores a great deal of information in databases: candidate profiles, client requirements, interview schedules, placement history and billing records. Every dashboard, tracker and report depends on queries that fetch the right rows quickly and correctly. A slow or faulty query means a recruiter waits or a manager reads the wrong number. In this internship you will write and improve those queries, and learn why two queries that return the same result can differ hugely in speed.

What you will do

- Write SQL queries using joins, subqueries, aggregations and window functions
- Create views and stored procedures for reports the team needs again and again
- Design small, well-structured tables with proper keys and relationships
- Find slow queries and improve them using indexes and better query design
- Prepare clean data extracts for the reporting and analytics team
- Check data for duplicates, missing values and inconsistent entries
- Document tables and queries so others can understand and reuse them
- Share progress in daily check-ins and a weekly review

What we are looking for
- Strong SQL basics (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, subqueries)




- Working knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server
- Understanding of primary keys, foreign keys and normalisation
- Logical, structured thinking
- The habit of double-checking results before sharing them
- A laptop and stable internet connection for full-time remote work

Nice to have
- Knowledge of indexes and query execution plans
- Basic Excel or Python skills
- A SQL practice profile on HackerRank or LeetCode, or a small database project

Who can apply
- Final-year students and recent graduates from B.Tech, B.E., BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT), MCA, B.Com or any stream with robust SQL skills
- Self-taught learners who can show a project or certificate
- Freshers are welcome, and prior experience is not required
- You must be available full-time for the internship period
