- Operate OES for chemical analysis of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper and other metal alloys.
- Identify and verify metal grades based on chemical composition and applicable standards.
- Prepare metal samples through grinding, surface finishing and cleaning.
- Compare test results with applicable IS, ASTM, EN and SAE/AISI standards.
- Perform equipment standardization, performance checks and calibration verification.
- Use Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) and control samples for quality checks.
- Maintain testing records, raw data, equipment logs and chemical analysis reports.
- Follow NABL requirements and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 procedures.
- Assist in internal audits, proficiency testing and quality control activities.
