SAP Fiori/UI5 Consultant:

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the SAP Fiori/UI5 development team across implementation, enhancement, migration, and support projects.
- Define and implement SAP Fiori architecture, development standards, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Design, develop, and deploy responsive SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and OData.
- Develop and extend standard SAP Fiori applications and build custom Fiori applications based on business requirements.
- Work extensively with SAP S/4HANA Fiori Launchpad, catalogs, spaces, pages, roles, and authorization concepts.
- Lead development using SAPUI5, Fiori Elements, Smart Controls, annotations, and OData services.
- Design and consume OData V2/V4 services and work with SAP Gateway.
- Collaborate with ABAP teams for development and optimization of backend services, CDS views, and APIs.
- Work with SAP BTP services and Cloud Foundry where required for Fiori application development and extensions.
- Support SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and Fiori-based business processes.
- Lead Fiori application development and UI modernization initiatives during SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
- Analyze performance issues and optimize Fiori applications, OData services, and frontend components.
- Establish reusable UI components, libraries, templates, and development frameworks.
- Review technical designs, code, and development deliverables to ensure quality and maintainability.




- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Fiori/UI5 developers.
- Coordinate with functional consultants, solution architects, integration teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in requirements gathering, technical feasibility analysis, estimation, sprint planning, and solution design.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
- Manage technical risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines for Fiori workstreams.
- Prepare technical specifications, architecture documents, development guidelines, and deployment documentation.
- Support testing, defect resolution, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities.

Technical Skills:

Mandatory:

- 10+ years of overall SAP experience with strong hands-on experience in SAP Fiori/UI5.
- Strong expertise in SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with SAP Fiori application development and extension.
- Excellent knowledge of Fiori Launchpad configuration and administration concepts.
- Robust experience with OData services, SAP Gateway, and REST APIs.
- Experience with Fiori Elements, annotations, Smart Controls, and metadata-driven applications.
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and Fiori UX.




- Experience working with ABAP, CDS Views, BAdIs, APIs, and backend integration.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP and SAP Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with Git-based source control and modern development practices.
- Strong understanding of application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SAP BTP Extension Suite and side-by-side extensibility.
- Knowledge of SAP CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model).
- Experience with SAP Build Work Zone / SAP Launchpad service. Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite.

- Experience with SAP Mobile Services and mobile Fiori applications. Knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio.

- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices for SAP applications.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or Private Cloud Edition.
- Experience with SAP UX strategy and SAP Fiori design principles. Knowledge of SAP Build Apps is an advantage.

- Strong technical leadership and team management skills. Ability to lead a team of Fiori/UI5 developers and provide technical mentoring.
