Role & responsibilities (THIRD PARTY CONTRACT BASIS)

- Supervise refractory installation, relining, and repair activities in Torpedo Ladle Cars (TLCs).

- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, BOM, installation procedures, and quality standards.

- Monitor brick laying, joint thickness, alignment, castable installation, gunning, and shotcreting activities, as applicable.

- Manage site manpower, contractors, materials, tools, and installation equipment.

- Ensure compliance with customer EHS standards, permit-to-work systems, and protected working practices.

- Monitor refractory consumption, lining condition, wear patterns, and campaign life.

- Maintain daily progress reports, material consumption records, inspection checklists, and installation documentation.





- Coordinate with customer operations, maintenance, and the Application Manager for timely execution.

- Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and refractory performance improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Ceramic, Refractory, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering.

- Preferred 25 years of experience in refractory installation or maintenance in the iron and steel industry.

- Knowledge of refractory lining drawings, BOM, installation methods, quality control, and site safety.
