– PPC Manager (Steel Industry)

Position: Production Planning & Control (PPC) ManagerIndustry: Steel ManufacturingDepartment: Production / PPC

Roles & Responsibilities

- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch departments.
- Monitor production activities and ensure timely completion of production targets.
- Prepare and monitor material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
- Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials, manpower, machinery, and other resources.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, steel coils, sheets, plates, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments to ensure material availability.
- Track production progress and identify bottlenecks, delays, and capacity constraints.
- Prepare daily production reports, MIS reports, and monthly performance reports.
- Monitor machine capacity, production efficiency, rejection, and wastage.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to ensure production meets quality standards.
- Ensure on-time delivery of finished products as per customer requirements.
- Handle production planning for steel processing, fabrication, rolling, cutting, or other manufacturing operations.
- Implement cost reduction, process improvement,



and productivity enhancement activities.
- Manage and guide the PPC team and ensure effective coordination across departments.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control in the steel industry.
- Knowledge of ERP / SAP / MRP systems.
- Experience in inventory control and material planning.
- Strong Excel and MIS reporting skills.
- Knowledge of production processes, capacity planning, and scheduling.
- Valuable coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Profile
- Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 8–15 years (preferred).
- Industry: Steel / Metal / Manufacturing.
- Preferred Experience: Steel manufacturing, steel processing, fabrication, rolling mill, or metal industries.
- Current company and steel industry experience.
- Type of steel products handled.
- Production capacity handled per month.
- ERP / SAP knowledge.
- Team size managed.
- Current CTC and expected CTC.
- Notice period.

Note: Prioritize candidates with hands-on PPC experience in steel manufacturing rather than general production planning experience. Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
