The Manager role is responsible for leading technical service activities across India for polymer, elastomer, rubber, thermoplastic vulcanisate, and other specialty compound applications. The position combines team leadership, technical problem-solving, customer application support, product development, commercialisation, and collaboration with research and development, production, quality, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

- Lead the technical service team across India for the company’s products and aligned businesses

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for rubber, elastomer, thermoplastic vulcanisate, and other specialty compound applications, including customer complaint handling, product performance evaluation, root-cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

- Coordinate with headquarters, research and development, production, quality, and external stakeholders to support project execution, local research and development initiatives, customer and market development, application development, and commercialisation activities

- Work closely with customers across the automotive, solar, wire and cable, footwear, and consumer durable sectors on material selection and processing optimisation

- Support solar encapsulant film development, customer qualification trials, and commercialisation activities

- Support marketing and business development activities to expand sales across India and assigned overseas markets

Requirements





- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in polymer technology, plastics technology, engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline

- At least 8 years of experience in technical services, including production experience

- Partial experience in sales and marketing would be an advantage

- In-depth knowledge of plastics, elastomers, rubber materials, relevant applications, solution selling, and application innovation

- Hands-on experience with major processing machinery, including twin-screw extruders, film lines, Banbury mixers, two-roll mills, injection moulding machines, and compression moulding machines, as well as related testing equipment

- Strong knowledge of rubber compounding, mixing, curing, and formulation development

- Experience handling customer complaints and introducing current products and solutions based on customer and market requirements

- Awareness of major compliance and regulatory requirements

- Experience with solar encapsulant films, including POE, EVA, EPE, or EP, as well as adhesion, crosslinking, durability, and weatherability, would be an advantage
