About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Java Spring Boot Developer to join our engineering team at a fintech company in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java development, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs, along with a good understanding of scalable and secure backend systems.

Experience in fintech, banking, payments, lending, or other financial services platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for financial technology applications.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
- Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools to support efficient software delivery.




- Follow secure coding practices and contribute to the reliability and scalability of fintech applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Familiarity with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Understanding of multithreading, exception handling, collections, and Java fundamentals.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working in the fintech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services domain.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of application security, transaction processing, and data consistency.
- Knowledge of payment gateways, financial APIs, or banking integrations.
