About Our Client The organisation operates in the Industrial / Manufacturing sector in Chennai, with work linked to the Aerospace Industry.

Key responsibilities include

- Developing and executing supply chain and procurement strategies

- Leading strategic sourcing initiatives across critical engineering subsystems and components.

- Negotiating and managing long-term supplier agreements to ensure supply continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness

- Building and managing global logistics capabilities, including import-export operations and international supplier coordination

- Creating scalable procurement and supply chain processes, policies, and controls.

- Driving material planning and logistics strategies to support manufacturing and production schedules.

- Managing contract reviews, RFIs, commercial documentation, and project-related procurement activities.

- Overseeing purchase order management, cost tracking, and supply chain analytics.

- Partnering closely with Engineering, R&D;, Manufacturing, and Product teams to anticipate demand and support new product introductions.

- Identifying opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction,



risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate should be an engineer with 8-12 years of experience and shoud have:

- Proven experience leading end-to-end supply chain and procurement functions within a complex manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, industrial, defence, or advanced engineering environment

- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and global logistics

- Demonstrated success in building scalable processes and operating models in high-growth environments

- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet-based modelling and supply chain analytics

- Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills
- A highly structured, hands-on and process-oriented mindset with a strong focus on execution
