Designation: Sr. FEA Simulation Engineer

Role Purpose Drive the design, process optimization, and reliability validation of Optical Fiber (OF), Optical Fiber Cable (OFC), and Optical Interface (OI) connectivity products by developing dynamic multi-physics FEA models. Leverage deep expertise in solid mechanics, thermodynamics, strength of materials, and polymer/plastics behaviour, while architecting AI-driven Python automation to accelerate simulation workflows and product innovation.

What the role entails

(Key Responsibilities)

- Develop and deploy high-fidelity FEA models (structural, thermal, extrusion, energetic, and non-linear multi-physics) to support design, development, and reliability testing of Optical Fiber (OF), Optical Fiber Cables (OFC) and Optical

Interfaces (OI) / connectivity products.

Partner with NPD, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to translate complex engineering requirements into actionable FEA strategiesaccelerating concept validation, material optimization, and process yield improvements while continuously validating numerical simulation results against physical lab testing to ensure maximum model accuracy and empirical correlation.

Conduct comprehensive static, dynamic, modal, harmonic, fatigue, and thermal stress analyses using ANSYS to identify failure modes, diagnose root causes, and engineer robust design countermeasures.





Architect and implement AI/ML-driven frameworks and Python scripts to automate end-to-end FEA workflowsfrom CAD pre-processing and mesh generation to automated data extraction, post-processing, and predictive design optimization.

Establish baseline CAE strategies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product/process standardization. Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, analysis reports, and simulation libraries.

What we are looking for in you
- Required Skills: Deep foundation in solid mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics,

plastics/polymer physics, and empirical model validation methodologies.

Mastery of 2D/3D CAD modelling and ANSYS Mechanical/Workbench. Expert-level capability in static, non-linear, modal, harmonic, transient dynamic, fatigue, and thermal stress analyses.

Hands-on proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks to build custom automation scripts for pre/post-processing, data analytics, parametric optimization, and predictive simulation pipelines.

Practical experience in injection molding simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow, ANSYS

Mold) to model warpage, shrinkage, and structural integrity for optical connectivity enclosures and precision plastic hardware will be added advantage.

Proactive problem-solver with strong diagnostic abilities. Proven track record of managing concurrent projects, driving technical direction, and correlating simulation data with experimentalists.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex engineering insights to cross-functional stakeholders, author simulation SOPs, and maintain technical documentation

Experience & Education B. Tech /B.E. in Mechanical engineering with 5 - 8 years of experience or M. Tech / M.E. in Mechanical engineering with 4 - 7 years of experience
