Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer role at Clear InfoSec is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across applications, networks, and infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring security events, and responding to incidents in coordination with internal and client teams.

The role involves reviewing and hardening system and application configurations, supporting secure architecture design, and contributing to secure software development practices.

Engineer will create and maintain security documentation, such as standards, runbooks, and reports, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant frameworks and policies. The position also requires continuous learning to stay current with emerging threats, tools, and security methodologies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including understanding of threat landscapes, security frameworks, and risk management practices.
- Candidates should possess solid Network Security skills, such as firewall configuration, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure network architecture concepts.
- Candidates should possess Application Security skills, including secure coding principles, code review, threat modeling, and experience with application security testing tools.
- Candidates should possess experience in Vulnerability Assessment, including scanning, prioritizing findings, remediation planning, and verification of fixes.
- Relevant experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), identity and access management, and endpoint protection tools is beneficial.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, PCI-DSS) is advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar are a plus.
