Bitumen Lab Engineer – Building Material Testing

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience: 1–3 years in material testing / bitumen testing

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct testing of bitumen, asphalt, aggregates and other construction materials.
- Perform penetration, ductility, softening point, viscosity and flash point tests.
- Conduct aggregate and bituminous mix tests as per applicable IS/ASTM standards.
- Prepare laboratory test reports and maintain testing records.
- Handle and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
- Check material quality against project specifications.
- Coordinate with site engineers and QC teams.
- Ensure proper sample collection, identification and storage.




- Follow laboratory safety and quality-control procedures.

- MS Excel & report preparation

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
