Role & responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Sales

- Greet shoppers warmly and answer questions about product locations, pricing, or features.
- Help customers find items or offer suitable product recommendations.
- Handle customer complaints or return/exchange requests with patience and professionalism.

2. Stocking & Inventory Management

- Unpack incoming delivery boxes and verify shipment contents against delivery notes.
- Stack, organize, and replenish shelves, display units, fridges, and freezers.
- Practice stock rotation (placing older stock/earlier sell-by dates at the front of the shelf).

3. Cashiering & Checkout Support

- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers to scan items and process payments (cash, cards, or digital wallets).
- Assist shoppers at self-service checkout kiosks if they encounter technical or scanning issues.
- Bag groceries and help collect shopping trolleys from the parking area

4. Store Maintenance & Safety

- Keep aisles, counters,



and display shelves tidy, clean, and free of physical hazards.
- Explicit spills immediately and handle regular cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, or wiping down fixtures).
- Remove expired or near-expiry goods from the floor following food safety and due diligence guidelines.
- Stay alert to prevent shoplifting or report security concerns

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Education: Higher Secondary or a Graduate
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, approachable attitude with good verbal communication.
- Numeracy & Accuracy: Basic math skills for handling cash, change, and inventory counts.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to bend, lift boxes, pull stock pallets, and walk or stand for extended shifts.
- Reliability & Teamwork: Punctual, trustworthy, and adaptable in a busy team environment.
