Job Description
The Payments Test Manager will lead end-to-end testing strategy, planning, and execution across payment platforms, ensuring high-quality delivery of payment solutions. The role involves managing testing teams, driving automation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with business, technology, and external partners. This role owns the entire testing lifecycle for payment systems including SWIFT, real-time payments, clearing, settlement, and certification processes. Responsibility
• Test Strategy & Governance Define and own the test strategy, test plan, and test approach for payment programs and releases.
• Drive end-to-end testing across SIT, UAT, regression, certification, and production validation.
• Ensure alignment with SDLC/Agile practices. Establish quality metrics, reporting dashboards, and Go/No-Go criteria.
• Payment Domain Testing Lead testing across payment systems including SWIFT MT/MX, ISO20022, clearing, settlement, and real-time rails. Validate end-to-end payment flows.
• Manage scheme certification testing and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.




• Delivery Management Own test execution, defect management, and release readiness.
• Track delivery against timelines, scope, cost, and quality targets. Lead defect triage and provide status reporting. Qualification
• 10+ years in software testing with strong exposure to payments domain. 3-5+ years in Test Manager/Lead role. Experience in large-scale payment transformation programs.
• Payments processing (RTGS, NEFT, SWIFT, cross-border, cards). Experience with payment hubs and ISO20022 messaging standards.
• Expert in testing lifecycle, SIT, UAT, E2E testing. Knowledge of Agile/SDLC and automation testing. JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, Selenium, API testing tools, CI/CD platforms.
• ISTQB Test Manager or equivalent. Agile certifications preferred.
• Solid leadership, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, communication, and ability to handle multiple programs.
• Experience in GCC/offshore model. Exposure to SWIFT certification, payment gateways, and global stakeholders. Job Overview
