DESIGNATION – SR. MANAGER / MANAGER - FINANCE

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

QUALIFICATION: CA (Inter), ICWA (Inter) or CMA (Inter)

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 10–15 years in Finance & Accounts, including relevant managerial experience.

REPORTING TO: DGM - FINANCE

PACKAGE : 12 TO 13 LPA

SUGGESTED PREVIOUS COMPANIES: Any Manufacturing Organization

JOB PURPOSE: To lead and manage the organization's finance and accounting functions, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, control costs, prepare financial reports, manage cash flow, and support business decisions through financial planning and analysis.

A. Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Prepare annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual expenditure against budgets and analyse variances.
- Develop cost-control measures to improve profitability.
- Provide financial insights to senior management.

B. Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
- Prepare Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Coordinate internal audits, statutory audits, and tax audits.

C. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities.




- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and payment of applicable taxes.
- Monitor changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.

D. Costing & Management Accounting

- Monitor product costing, manufacturing expenses, overheads, and operational costs.
- Analyse material, labour, and production cost variances.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare management information system (MIS) reports.

E. Treasury & Working Capital Management

- Monitor cash flow, fund requirements, and liquidity.
- Manage banking relationships, loans, and credit facilities.
- Improve working capital through effective receivables, payables, and inventory management.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and vendor payment schedules.

F. Internal Controls & Risk Management

- Establish and monitor financial controls and approval procedures.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and delegation of authority.
- Implement audit recommendations and prevent financial irregularities.

G. Team Management

- Lead, train, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Coordinate with HR, Procurement, Production, Sales, and Operations.
- Present financial performance reports to senior management.
