Job Summary The S/4 Data Design and AI Enablement Expert – Procurement and Material Management is a technically oriented role responsible for translating business data requirements into scalable S/4HANA data designs and accelerating the practical adoption of AI across the data team and end-to-end data processes. The role combines deep P&MM; data expertise with hands-on capability in data modelling, data quality, automation, analytics and AI-enabled solutions. It defines and documents S/4 Enterprise Data Standards, develops reusable technical patterns and prototypes, and ensures that existing

SAP ECC data is fit for migration and future AI-enabled use.

The role is aligned to the Enterprise Process Owner (EPO) organisation and owns the relationship between the Axial Data organisation and the EPO team. It represents P&MM; data demands across interlinked EPO areas and works closely with

Data, AI, Analytics and Technology teams to identify high-value use cases, prepare trusted and governed data products, and move AI opportunities from concept through prototype to scalable adoption. The role proactively engages the wider business, including Finance & Controlling, Data Offices, Governance Forums and local Sites, to ensure that S/4 data design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standards where possible, and provides a high-quality, explainable and reusable foundation for operational processes, analytics and AI at go-live and beyond.

Land S/4HANA target state business data standards by providing data leadership, stewardship and data subject matter expertise into the process and data design cycles, ensuring process designs align with S/4HANA data best practice concepts,

process data requirements are collected and consolidated into robust data documentations and are appropriately managed during interim state.

- Land the definition, documentation and implementation of S/4 Enterprise Data standards related to assigned data domain, including master data, reference data and metadata – confirming the business context and ensuring approval in accordance with defined data governance. To include the development of conceptual models,

business glossary and ontologies.
- Provide strategic expertise on the effective use of AI across S/4 data design and data processes, ensuring opportunities are aligned with business priorities, enterprise data standards and the P&MM; transformation agenda.
- Identify and shape high-value AI use cases that improve data,



strengthen data processes and accelerate the delivery and scaling of those improvements across the data organisation.
- Involvement in defining the change journey from current to future state data design including completion of change impact assessments and outline of critical use case examples.
- Ensure that data within P&MM; data domain complies with the S/4 HANA Data Governance Framework and AZ Global Data Standards.

Contribute to data readiness at Axial go-live through ensuring the data localisation within the assigned data domain enabling the data migration while also steering the data quality approach, interim state data designs, and the implementation of ongoing management of data to ensure that it remains fit for purpose post deployment.
- Lead data domain related data localisation and transformation activities by integrating closely with the local site and relevant central procurement teams educating on new Axial data standards identifying and supporting the data collections and transformations.
- Co- drive the localisation workshop and working session agenda to land all relevant data requirement inputs in-line with programme plan, which includes acceleration of relevant business process design discussions as and where relevant.
- Support acting as a gate keeper for overarching domain related data policies during Axial deployments ensure all data aspects comply with the Axial Data Governance Framework, AZ Global Data Standards and overarching EPO process standards.
- Pro-actively support driving the data agenda within the Integrated Work Package (Detailed Design and Build cycles) ensuring relevant data dependencies are prioritised and requirements closed in-line with programme delivery requirements in relevant workshops and working sessions.
- Support driving the change journey from current to future state data design including completion of change impact assessments as well as the broader data education and change initiatives.
- Support relationship with current business data capability to ensure that S/4 design and the wider enterprise data design remain aligned (to include support of interim state).
- Work closely with the AZ AI team and relevant Data,



Technology and business stakeholders to move priority AI opportunities from concept through deployment, adoption and sustainable operation.
- Ensure AI-enabled data improvements are successfully introduced and embedded with appropriate data quality,

governance, controls and measurable business outcomes, accelerating value while maintaining trust and operational readiness.

Significant subject matter experience and demonstrated business process execution knowledge in o Procurement o Material Management

 Experience of designing and implementing Data

Standards for a global enterprise with significant geographical and functional footprint.

 Familiarity with data workflows and data management via Fiori Apps, ServiceNow or alternates.

 Experience of designing and implementing Data

Standards in relevant P&MM; space for a global enterprise with significant geographical and functional footprint.

 Strong P&MM-related; SAP knowledge, including

S/4HANA data objects, master and transactional data,

integration patterns and downstream consumption.

Able to translate SAP structures into governed datasets for reporting, advanced analytics and AI use cases.

 Practical technical experience with data analysis and engineering tools, such as SQL, Python, APIs, data pipelines, cloud data platforms or equivalent technologies, with the ability to profile data, automate controls and build proof-of-concept solutions.

 Experience partnering across Business, Data and IT to implement data governance, data products, analytics or

AI-enabled solutions, including requirements translation, prototyping, testing, deployment and adoption.

 Demonstrated ability to lead in a diverse, global team,

within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures.

 Demonstrate robust communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives

 Ability to lead and manage negotiations across a complex group, to a target outcome.

Desirable

 S/4HANA implementation programme experience,

including technical data design, migration or integration delivery

 Experience in designing and implementing P&MM; related data management processes

 Experience in life sciences and healthcare.

 Experience applying machine learning, generative AI or intelligent automation to enterprise data processes,

with awareness of responsible AI, security, privacy,

explainability and model risk controls

 Experience in measuring, managing and improving

Data Quality. In depth knowledge of relevant key business processes.
