Blackstone Group Technologies (BGT) is a Chennai-based structural steel detailing and software design services firm. We are growing our reinforcement detailing and BIM team and looking for passionate professionals to join us.
Role Overview
As a Rebar Modeler / Detailer, you will prepare and check reinforcement detailing drawings, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) & 3D BIM models, working closely with design and project teams to deliver accurate, high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review detailed rebar drawings, BBS and models for UK-based projects
- Carry out reinforcement detailing using CADS RC / Rebar CAD
- Develop 3D BIM models in Revit across different LOD levels
- Interpret structural drawings, project specifications and reinforcement requirements
- Create and manage clash analysis and Revit families
- Follow the BIM Execution Plan and project workflow criteria
- Collaborate with the design team for accurate and efficient detailing
- Run quality checks on completed drawings and models
- Maintain documentation of detailing processes
- Guide and support junior team members
- Stay current with industry standards and best practices in rebar detailing
Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related field)
- Hands-on experience in rebar detailing/Modellig and BBS preparation
- Working knowledge of Revit/Rebar (BIM modeling, family creation, clash analysis)
- Good understanding on detailing/ Modelling
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
- Robust attention to detail and good communication skills
Preferred / Added Advantage
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience with CADS RC / Rebar CAD (an added advantage for freshers)
