Quality Inspector

Role Summary The Quality Inspector checks product quality during production and before dispatch. The role ensures that parts are made as per drawings, process, and quality standards. The inspector helps in keeping production defect-free by doing regular checks and reporting issues on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform in-process inspection during production
- Carry out first piece inspection before regular production starts
- Do post-troubleshooting inspection after machine or process issues are resolved
- Perform final inspection and PDI (Pre-Dispatch Inspection) before dispatch
- Check process capability to ensure the process is running correctly
- Check batch capability and approve or reject batches as per quality results
- Inspect fasteners and components as per drawings and specifications
- Use measuring tools like Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Thread Gauge, Ring & Plug Gauges
- Identify defects and inform production or supervisor immediately
- Ensure quality checks are followed as per SOP and instructions
- Maintain inspection records, reports, and checklists
- Support Quality Manager in basic root cause and corrective actions
- Ensure measuring instruments are clean, calibrated, and handled properly

What we are looking for?

Technical Skills

- Basic knowledge of in-process, final inspection, and PDI
- Understanding of first piece, process capability, and batch capability checks
- Ability to read drawings and understand basic dimensions
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments
- Knowledge of common fastener defects

Soft Skills

- Careful,

- Ability to follow SOPs and instructions
- Clear communication with production and quality teams
- Honest and responsible working style
- Willingness to learn and improve quality skills

Experience

- 0–2 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing setup
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered

Education

Reporting Structure

You shall report to the Quality Manager / Senior Management. And work closely with production and quality teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
