Core Responsibilities
Patrols & Inspections: Walk or drive through interior and exterior areas on a regular schedule to check for safety hazards, unlocked doors, and suspicious behavior. [1, 2]
Access Control: Guard entrances and exits, verify employee or visitor identification, issue passes, and manage visitor logs. [1, 2, 3]
Surveillance Monitoring: Watch CCTV cameras, alarm panels, and security software in real time to spot irregularities. [1, 2]

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certifications:



Valid state or regional security guard license, plus CPR and First Aid certification (varies by location).
Communication: Solid verbal and written skills to handle visitor questions, write reports, and de-escalate conflicts.
Physical Fitness: Ability to stand or walk for long periods and respond rapidly to physical events.
