We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Carpentry Board Section Supervisor to manage daily operations in our board section. The role involves supervising production activities, managing carpenters and helpers, ensuring accurate board cutting and assembly, controlling material wastage, and maintaining quality and safety standards. The candidate should ensure timely production while maintaining efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage daily production activities in the carpentry board section.
- Plan and allocate daily work to carpenters and helpers based on production schedules and order priorities.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and production specifications.
- Ensure accuracy in board cutting, sizing, edge banding, boring and panel assembly.
- Monitor the operation and efficient utilisation of panel saws, beam saws, edge banding, boring and CNC machines.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance and machine breakdowns.
- Monitor manpower productivity, attendance, overtime and workplace discipline.
- Manage material requirements, board and hardware consumption, and optimise cutting layouts to minimise wastage.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections and ensure products meet approved specifications.
- Identify defects,



minimise rework and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, machine safety procedures and workplace standards.
- Maintain 5S, cleanliness and housekeeping within the section.
- Coordinate with other production sections to ensure smooth workflow and timely order completion.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, carpentry or board processing.
- Strong knowledge of modular furniture and panel-based furniture manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in board cutting, edge banding, boring and panel assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
- Knowledge of panel saw, beam saw, CNC and other woodworking machinery.
- Experience in production planning, manpower allocation and shop-floor supervision.
- Knowledge of material management, cutting optimisation and wastage control.
- Good leadership, communication and team management skills.
- Solid problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- ITI / Diploma in Carpentry, Wood Technology, Furniture Technology or a related field is preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
