What is in it for you?

As an Technical Lead – Edifecs, you will be a part of an Agile team to design and build healthcare applications and implement new features while adhering to the best coding development standards.

Responsibilities: -

- Design, develop, and maintain EDI solutions using the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform (XEngine, SpecBuilder, Transaction Management).
- Develop and support inbound and outbound HIPAA X12 transactions, including 837P, 837I, and 837D claim files.
- Configure, implement, and maintain HIPAA validation rules, including SNIP Levels 1-7 compliance checks.
- Create and manage data mappings and transformations between X12, XML, JSON, flat files, and internal application formats.
- Analyze HIPAA 5010 implementation guides and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Configure and maintain trading partner profiles, communication protocols, and partner-specific requirements.
- Process and troubleshoot EDI transactions, acknowledgments,



and remittance files such as 999, TA1, 277CA, 835, and 276/277.
- Investigate and resolve transaction failures, validation errors, rejected claims, and data discrepancies.
- Collaborate with business analysts, healthcare SMEs, payers, providers, and external clearinghouses to support claims processing requirements.
- Write SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and reporting purposes.
- Participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
- Monitor EDI workflows, and ensure timely processing of healthcare claims and related transactions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, mapping specifications, and support procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, healthcare industry standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide production support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations for EDI processes.
- Support onboarding of new trading partners and implementation of payer-specific business rules and companion guide requirements.
- Work closely with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize system performance and reliability.

Educational Qualifications: -

- Engineering Degree – BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.
- Edifecs Certification
- HIPAA/X12 Certification

Skills: -

Mandatory Technical Skills: -

- Minimum over 4 years of Edifecs Smart Trading Platform experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transactions
- Experience with healthcare claims processing lifecycle
- Expertise in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON, and flat-file processing
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
