Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Multi-Boring Machine Operator to join our modular furniture manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining multi-spindle boring machines to drill accurate holes for hardware fittings, dowels, cam-locks, and hinges on engineered wood panels (MDF, Particle Board, Plywood). The ideal candidate must be skilled in reading technical production drawings and maintaining high precision to support seamless assembly on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Machine Operation & Setup

- Set up multi-boring / multi-spindle drilling machines (manual, semi-automatic, or CNC-controlled) according to daily production schedules.
- Load program parameters or manually adjust boring heads, drill bit depth, pitch spacing, and pneumatic clamps based on component specifications.
- Load and position engineered wood panels correctly on the machine table to prevent misalignments and panel damage.

2. Quality Control & Precision Drilling





- Interpret 2D engineering drawings, production cut-lists, and shop drawings accurately.
- Perform test drills on sample panels and measure hole depths, diameters, and center-to-center distances using calipers, depth gauges, and measuring tapes.
- Inspect finished components to ensure all drilling matches hardware specifications (Minifix, Rafix, dowels, shelf supports, hinges, handles).
- Maintain tight tolerances to ensure error-free assembly during final panel fitting.

3. Material Handling & Workflow

- Inspect incoming raw panels for surface defects, scratches, or incorrect dimensions before drilling.
- Organally stack, label, and batch drilled panels for downstream processes (e.g., edge banding, assembly, packing).
- Maintain product traceability by updating production logs and job route sheets.

4. Machine Maintenance & Safety

- Perform routine daily maintenance, including cleaning dust/chips from boring heads, lubricating moving parts, and checking drill bit sharpness.
- Replace worn or damaged drill bits and tools promptly to maintain clean cuts and prevent chipping.

Pay: ₹9,100.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
