Job Description – Erection & Commissioning Engineer

Job Purpose

To carry out the erection, installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of crushing and screening plants at customer sites, ensuring safe and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute erection, installation, and commissioning of crushing and screening plants at customer sites.
- Supervise the installation of jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, conveyors, and associated equipment.
- Ensure proper mechanical assembly, alignment, leveling, and foundation checks.
- Coordinate with project, production, electrical, and service teams for smooth project execution.
- Inspect equipment installation as per engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, trial runs, load testing, and performance checks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, lubrication, vibration, and conveyor-related issues.
- Train customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare daily site progress reports, commissioning reports, and inspection checklists.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards and PPE requirements.




- Coordinate with customers and contractors to complete projects within the scheduled timeline.
- Provide post-commissioning support and resolve technical issues.
- Travel across India to customer sites as required.

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

3–8 years of relevant experience in erection and commissioning of crushing plants, screening plants, mining machinery, or heavy industrial equipment.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of crushers, screens, feeders, conveyors, and material handling systems.
- Robust mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment layouts.
- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, couplings, lubrication, and hydraulic systems.
- Good communication, site supervision, and customer-handling skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
