Job Summary

Southern Coil Industries is seeking a proactive and result-oriented Purchase Manager to manage procurement activities, vendor development, cost optimization, and timely sourcing of materials required for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and knowledge of industrial raw materials and components.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, tools, and services.

Source, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.

Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable commercial terms.

Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production, Stores, and Planning teams.

Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials for production schedules.

Track supplier performance on quality, delivery, and cost parameters.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies.

Maintain procurement records, vendor databases,



and documentation.

Resolve supplier-related issues concerning quality, shortages, and delivery delays.

Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and vendor payments.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management.

Experience in sourcing industrial raw materials and engineering components.

Valuable analytical and cost-control abilities.

Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple suppliers.

Preferred Experience

Procurement experience in manufacturing, engineering, HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.

Knowledge of steel, copper, aluminum, electrical, and fabrication-related materials will be an added advantage.

Exposure to inventory control and production planning coordination.
