About the Role

We are looking for a Junior SEO Executive to grow organic traffic, rankings and sales for our ecommerce website. You will work on product and category pages, blogs and technical SEO, and report to the SEO Manager / Digital Marketing Lead. This role suits someone who has already worked on a home decor or furnishings website and can handle day-to-day SEO tasks with limited supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities

On-page SEO

- Optimise product pages, category pages and collection pages with keyword-led titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs and image alt text.
- Write or brief product descriptions and category copy that are natural, useful and built to convert.
- Add internal links across categories, products and blogs to strengthen page authority and help users browse.
- Implement schema markup (product, FAQ, breadcrumb, review) and check that it is valid.

Keyword research and content support

- Research commercial and transactional keywords for home decor categories such as rugs, cushions, furniture, lighting and wall decor.
- Map keywords to the right pages and spot new keyword and category opportunities.
- Support the content calendar with blog briefs, FAQ ideas and content updates for pages that have lost rankings.

Technical SEO

- Run regular site audits and flag issues such as crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content, redirects, indexation problems and page speed.
- Manage sitemaps and robots.txt, and monitor Google Search Console for coverage and Core Web Vitals problems.
- Work with developers on fixes, especially for faceted navigation, canonicals and URL structure on large catalogues.

Off-page SEO

- Plan and run link-building through guest posts, digital PR, directories and outreach to relevant home and interior blogs.
- Monitor the backlink profile and flag low-quality or toxic links.
- Maintain and improve business listings, including Google Business Profile where relevant.

Reporting and analysis

- Track rankings, organic traffic, conversions and revenue using Google Analytics (GA4),



Search Console and tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports with clear insights and next steps.
- Analyse competitors’ keywords, content and backlinks to find gaps.

Collaboration

- Work with the design, content, merchandising and development teams so recent pages and launches are SEO-ready.
- Keep up with Google algorithm updates and new search trends, including AI search and AI Overviews, and apply what is useful.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on SEO experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working on a home decor, furniture or similar ecommerce website.
- Good knowledge of on-page, off-page and technical SEO.
- Experience with Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one SEO tool (Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or similar).
- Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Good written English and the ability to write clear briefs and reports.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Good to Have

- Experience with product feed optimisation or Google Merchant Center.
- Knowledge of AEO/GEO (optimising for AI search and answer engines).
- Experience with international or multi-region SEO.
- Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills.
