Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Testing with strong expertise in transmission line hardware testing, conductor testing and laboratory management. The candidate should have hands-on technical knowledge and proven experience in managing testing laboratories in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and lead the Testing Department, ensuring smooth laboratory operations.
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, high voltage and high current testing activities.
- Handle testing of transmission line hardware fittings, conventional conductors, HTLS conductors and insulators.
- Ensure testing activities comply with applicable IEC, ASTM and CIGRE standards.
- Manage laboratory operations in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
- Handle NABL accreditation, laboratory audits, internal audits and external assessments.
- Review and approve test procedures, test reports and technical documentation.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance and validation of testing equipment.
- Lead, guide and develop testing engineers and technicians.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants,



third-party agencies and internal departments for testing requirements.
- Monitor testing quality, accuracy, turnaround time and laboratory performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in testing methods, laboratory facilities and processes.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and quality management systems.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong experience in transmission line hardware fittings testing.
- Expertise in conventional conductor and HTLS conductor testing.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, high voltage and high current testing.
- Good understanding of IEC, ASTM and CIGRE standards.
- Robust knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management requirements.
- Experience in NABL accreditation and audit handling.
- Knowledge of testing equipment calibration and measurement traceability.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and testing requirements.

Experience & Qualification

- Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in transmission line hardware testing, conductor testing or electrical testing laboratories.
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous experience managing a testing laboratory or testing department is mandatory.
- Experience in ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accreditation and management is preferred.
- Candidates from power transmission, electrical testing laboratories and transmission hardware manufacturing industries will be preferred.
