Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer with 2+ years of experience in retail store design, space planning and interior design documentation. The candidate will be responsible for designing retail store layouts, preparing detailed GFC drawings, developing spatial planograms, creating design presentations and supporting store execution and B2B projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Design & GFC Drawings (COCO & Franchise Stores)

1. Prepare store layout options, design presentations and Good-for-Construction (GFC) drawings for new stores, renovations and refits.
2. Prepare detailed drawings covering civil, flooring, false ceiling, lighting, electrical, furniture, fixtures, elevations, signage and branding placement.
3. Adapt store designs according to site dimensions, brand guidelines and project budgets.
4. Coordinate with project teams, civil teams and vendors for site queries, drawing revisions and BOQ requirements.
5. Maintain proper drawing records and version control.

2. Spatial Planning & Planograms

1. Develop store layouts, space plans, product zoning and category-wise planograms.
2. Plan product placement and display arrangements based on store space, customer movement and product visibility.
3. Ensure effective space utilisation, clear walkways and attractive product displays.
4. Balance design aesthetics with business and sales requirements.

3. Visual Merchandising (VM) Support

1. Update and maintain planograms based on product range changes, seasonal displays and store layout modifications.
2. Maintain a master library of store layouts, drawings and planograms.
3. Coordinate with the Visual Merchandising team to implement display changes.

Review store photographs and identify gaps between approved layouts and actual store setups.

4. B2B Presentations & Design Visuals

1. Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations and visual pitch decks for B2B projects.
2. Create mood boards, layout plans, product-mapped space plans and basic 3D views/renders.
3. Develop design presentations for hospitality, offices, residential bulk orders and shop-in-shop projects.
4. Ensure presentations follow brand guidelines and client requirements.

5. Day-to-Day Design & Project Coordination

1. Handle site measurements, drawing mark-ups, furniture and fixture drawings, signage and graphic sizing.
2. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for design approvals and project execution.
3. Prepare project trackers and provide regular status updates.
4. Visit stores and project sites for surveys, measurements and setup inspections whenever required.

Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Minimum 2+ years of experience in Interior Design, Retail Store Design or Space Planning.
2. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a relevant field preferred.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drawings and technical documentation.
4. Working knowledge of SketchUp and 3D visualisation tools.
5. Valuable knowledge of retail layouts, GFC drawings, furniture detailing and space planning.
6. Understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM) and product planograms.
7. Good knowledge of MS PowerPoint for design presentations.
8. Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile
1. Candidates with experience in retail interior design, showroom design, furniture/interior brands or commercial interior projects will be preferred.
2. Should have a good understanding of design concepts, technical drawings and site execution.
3. Creative mindset with solid attention to detail and space utilisation.
