Technical Lead - AI/ML & Data Analytics

Role Overview: As a Technical Lead - AI/ML & Data Analytics, you will lead the design and delivery of AI/ML, Generative AI, data engineering, and analytics capabilities for products and services. You will help identify where these technologies can create measurable value, guide solutions from data readiness through production deployment, and ensure they are secure, scalable, validated, and supportable. You will also play an active role in hiring, mentoring, performance feedback, and team development while working closely with the R&D; Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor engineers working on AI/ML, Data Analytics, and data-driven product capabilities, promoting quality, ownership, and accountability.

- Own technical design and delivery of AI/ML and analytics capabilities that can be incorporated into products and professional services.

- Guide initiatives from use-case definition and data assessment through prototyping, validation, integration, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

- Design scalable approaches for data pipelines, analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI while integrating effectively with existing enterprise applications.

- Work with Product Management, QA/SDET, architecture, support, domain teams, and other stakeholders to translate business and research-workflow needs into practical AI/ML and analytics solutions.

- Review solution architecture,



data flows, model choices, prompts, code, and evaluation approaches; contribute hands-on to critical components when needed.

- Establish appropriate validation, traceability, monitoring, security, privacy, and human-oversight practices for AI-enabled product capabilities.

- Assess data quality, availability, governance, and readiness before recommending AI/ML or analytics approaches.

- Continuously improve engineering practices for data, ML, analytics, experimentation, testing, deployment, and operational support.

- Mentor team members, provide regular feedback, identify skill gaps, and support individual development and career growth.

- Participate actively in hiring, technical interviews, team composition, and recommendations related to performance and advancement.

- Ensure AI/ML and data solutions align with organizational security, privacy, compliance, and enterprise architecture requirements.

- Evaluate emerging AI/ML, Data Analytics, and data-platform technologies based on product value, technical fit, risk, and maintainability.

- Collaborate closely with the R&D; Manager on priorities, resource needs, delivery commitments, new initiatives, and people decisions.

- Take ownership of additional technical leadership responsibilities as required by the role or organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 6+ years of software, data,



analytics, or AI/ML engineering experience, including production-oriented solution development.

- Minimum 2 years in a technical leadership role with responsibility for mentoring engineers and leading delivery.

- Strong hands-on experience with Python and relevant AI/ML, data processing, and analytics frameworks and libraries.

- Strong understanding of machine learning, Generative AI/LLMs, embeddings, RAG, model evaluation, and production AI application patterns.

- Experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT APIs, structured and unstructured data, SQL databases, and analytics platforms.

- Strong understanding of data architecture, data quality, governance, security, privacy, scalability, and production reliability.

- Experience integrating AI/ML or analytics capabilities into enterprise applications and operational workflows.

- Experience with cloud data/AI platforms, deployment, monitoring, source control, testing, and modern DevOps/MLOps practices.

- Ability to evaluate AI/ML and analytics use cases based on data readiness, validation needs, technical feasibility, risk, and measurable value.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineers across AI/ML, data, analytics, or software disciplines.

- Robust interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

- Ability to balance experimentation and innovation with enterprise requirements for security, validation, reliability, and maintainability.
