Group Security protects the bank and our customers from theft, loss, and risk events through effective and proactive management of cyber security, privacy and operational risk.At CommBank we believe in working somewhere that works for you. We have many flexible working options available so talk to us about which arrangements could work best for you.The Data Security Crew, a part of the wider Cyber Security team, is responsible for the security and safety of data across the organisation. The Crew builds, owns and operates multiple data security related services including both SaaS and inhouse developed systems.Impact & Contribution:Design and Develop reliable, scalable automation and cloud platforms to support Data Security services. Through robust SRE, DevSecOps, and automation practices, you enhance platform resilience, operational efficiency, and secure delivery of business‑critical Data Security services.Develop automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using scripting languages and tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement version control best practices using GitHub and modern DevOps toolchains.



Champion responsible AI-powered engineering practices.Automate Cloud and DevSecOps platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across enterprise environments. Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices to enhance system availability, improve incident response, and drive operational excellence across cloud infrastructures. Manage AWS platforms, including compute, networking, and hybrid cloud integrations. Essential Skills:12 + years Exp in Automation, Cloud & DevSecOps Deep expertise in AWS services coupled with strong knowledge of cloud security best practices. Strong architecture and design skills for distributed, scalable, highly available, and secure cloud-native systems. Demonstrated success delivering secure, resilient platforms to integrate with SaaS services in enterprise environments. Experience with observability practices (Prometheus, Grafana, Observe, etc) Experience in DevOps/SRE/System Engineering in Cloud environment. Highly proficient working with various scripting/programming languages such as - Python, Typescript, PowerShell , Bash, Strong experience in working with Infrastructure as Code - CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform CI/CD tools like Artifactory and Github actions.
