We are hiring a well-rounded Network Administrator to keep our network, identity, and core infrastructure running smoothly. You will own day-to-day administration of LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPN, and Active Directory, and act as a senior troubleshooter for escalated issues. You will work closely with our US-based IT team, so transparent communication and dependable ownership matter as much as technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
Networking - Administer and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure across offices and data center/cloud environments. - Configure and support switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, Aruba). - Manage VLANs, routing (static, OSPF, BGP), NAT, ACLs, and site-to-site and remote-access VPNs. - Administer DNS, DHCP, and IP address management. - Monitor network performance and capacity; tune and plan upgrades. Active Directory and Identity - Administer Active Directory: users, groups, OUs, Group Policy, sites and services, and health replication. - Support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), hybrid identity sync, MFA, and conditional access. - Manage access requests, onboarding/offboarding, and permission reviews following least-privileged practices. - Support file share permissions, certificates, and related Windows Server roles. Troubleshooting and Support - Serve as the escalation point (Tier 2/3) for network, connectivity, authentication, and access issues.
- Diagnose problems methodically using packet captures, logs, and monitoring tools; drive issues to root cause. - Lead or support incident response and write clear post-incident summaries. - Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours critical issues. Operations, Security and Documentation - Apply firmware updates and security patches following change management procedures. - Maintain network diagrams, runbooks, configuration backups, and asset inventory. - Support security controls: firewall rule reviews, segmentation, vulnerability remediation, and audit evidence.
- Recommend and implement improvements and automate repetitive tasks where practical.
Required
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on network and systems administration experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or escalation role. - Strong grasp of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Hands-on configuration of enterprise firewalls and switches from at least one major vendor. - Solid Active Directory administration, including Group Policy, OU design, and troubleshooting replication and authentication (Kerberos/NTLM, LDAP). - Working knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID. - General knowledge of Microsoft Azure: core services (virtual machines, virtual networks, storage), the Azure portal, and basic resource and access management. - Proven, structured troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark, ping/traceroute, nslookup/dig, and vendor diagnostics. - Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, LogicMonitor). - Experience working in ticketing and change management processes (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow). - Strong written and spoken English; able to document clearly and explain technical issues to non-technical staff. - Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, Fortinet NSE, PCNSA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900). - Experience with cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS (VNets/VPCs, NSGs/security groups, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect). - Scripting with PowerShell or Python for automation and reporting. - Familiarity with security frameworks and audits (SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001). - Prior experience supporting a US-based organization from an offshore or remote team.
