Job Title: Electrical Maintenance & Testing Engineer (DG Sets / Genset Specialist)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance & Testing Engineer with a solid specialization in Genset (DG Set) systems, electrical distribution, and testing/calibration workflows. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation, testing, validation, and comprehensive preventive maintenance of high-capacity HT/LT power distribution infrastructure and diesel generators.

Key Responsibilities

- Genset Testing & Maintenance: Conduct routine testing, calibration, and validation of HT & LT DG sets (ranging from 500KVA to 2500KVA+), including critical hands-on execution of A, B, C, and D maintenance checks.
- Testing & Calibration: Execute electrical, mechanical, and climatic testing of critical equipment, ensuring electromagnetic interface (EMI) and conductive compatibility compliance.
- System Operations: Oversee the switching operations and active maintenance of HT/LT distribution networks, 3150kVA+ transformers, UPS systems (up to 500KVA), battery banks, and associated MV/MCC/PCC panels.
- Monitoring & Synchronization: Routinely inspect HT Yards, DG synchronization rooms, and control panels to track grid vs.

- Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Implement strict PPM calendars, minimizing downtime via immediate breakdown troubleshooting and proactive faulty component replacement.
- Compliance & Documentation: Prepare structured daily, weekly, and monthly PM/progress reports, manage AMC/warranty trackers, and support regulatory audits (e.g., BIS audits).
- Team & Vendor Management: Assign day-to-day task workflows to technicians, validate occurrence logs, and manage technical vendor relationships safely.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Education: BE / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of heavy power generation equipment (Caterpillar, Cummins, etc.), synchronization panels, HT/LT lines, and Auto CAD for basic schematic review.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with BIS documentation, standard calibration benchmarks, and plant safety compliance.
- Soft Skills: Proven leadership capability, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting multi-faceted electrical anomalies.
