Position: Store Manager SFD Store
Reports to: Partners / Management

We are looking for a Store Manager to manage the daily operations of our stationery, office supplies and art materials store. The role involves achieving sales targets, leading the team, maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring good customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Sales and profitability: Achieve monthly sales and gross-margin targets, monitor category performance and implement approved promotions.
- Team management: Allocate tasks, manage staff rosters and attendance, train employees and review performance.
- Inventory control: Verify goods received and stock transfers, conduct stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Stock availability: Coordinate replenishment and flag shortages, excess stock, slow-moving products and damaged goods.
- Billing and collections: Ensure accurate billing, approved discounts and returns, and daily reconciliation of cash, card and UPI collections.
- Customer orders: Coordinate orders, dispatches and deliveries. Follow approved credit terms and follow up overdue payments.




- Customer service: Resolve complaints and guide the team on product recommendations.
- Store standards: Maintain product displays, price labels, cleanliness, safety and opening and closing procedures.
- Reporting: Submit daily sales and collection reports and weekly updates on performance, stock issues and pending actions.

Candidate profile

- Preferably 5 to 10 years of retail experience, including at least 5 year supervising a team.
- Experience in stationery, books, art supplies or retail with a wide product range is preferred.
- Comfortable using POS billing, inventory software and Excel. Zoho or Busy experience is an advantage.
- Solid Malayalam and working English communication, numerical ability and practical leadership skills.

Performance measures

Sales and gross-margin achievement, stock accuracy and availability, stock losses, collection discipline, customer complaint resolution and staff productivity.
