Role & responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and supporting documentation, and perform regular bank reconciliations.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Handle end-to-end vendor invoice processing, ensure timely payments, monitor receivables ageing, record customer receipts, and follow up on outstanding payments.

3. Financial Reporting & Month-End Closing: Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, preparation of financial reports, reconciliations, and financial data analysis.

4. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely preparation and filing of GST, TDS, PT, PF, and other applicable statutory returns, while maintaining accurate compliance records and meeting regulatory deadlines.

5. Audit & Corporate Compliance: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, prepare necessary audit documentation, and support corporate law filings, annual returns, and maintenance of statutory registers, wherever applicable.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and SOPs while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Prior experience (typically 14+ years) in accounting, preferably with exposure to statutory
- compliance (GST, TDS). Experience with statutory filings and external audit coordination is
- a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP/Finance systems) and MS Excel.

Preferred Attributes

- Experience working in a CA firm or corporate accounting workplace.
- Knowledge of additional statutory compliances (ROC/Company Law filings) would be
- beneficial.
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
