Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Air Export Manager to lead the entire Air Export Department. The candidate will be responsible for managing the team, driving business performance, ensuring revenue growth, and taking complete ownership of the department's Profit & Loss (P&L;).

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership capabilities, sound knowledge of the air freight industry, and proven expertise in financial management, profitability analysis, cost control, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

**1. Team Leadership & Management**

- Lead and manage the entire Air Export team.

- Set departmental targets, KPIs, and performance standards.

- Allocate responsibilities and monitor individual and team performance.

- Train, mentor, and develop team members.

- Coordinate with Sales, Pricing, Finance, and other departments.

**2. P&L; Management & Profitability Major Responsibility**

- Take complete ownership of the Air Export Department's Profit & Loss (P&L;).

- Prepare, monitor, and analyse monthly P&L; statements.





- Drive revenue growth and achieve departmental profitability targets.

- Monitor shipment-wise revenue, costs, gross margins, and profitability.

- Identify revenue leakages and implement effective cost-control measures.

- Ensure accurate costing, pricing, and effective utilisation of airline rates.

- Negotiate with airlines and vendors to improve profit margins.

- Review financial performance against budgets and take corrective actions.

- Present monthly financial performance reports to senior management.

**3. Business & Departmental Performance**

- Develop strategies to increase business revenue and departmental profitability.

- Monitor shipment volumes, revenue generation, and gross profit margins.

- Maintain robust relationships with airlines, vendors, overseas agents, and key clients.

- Ensure smooth coordination across departments.

- Identify opportunities for business growth and improved service delivery.

**4. Process & Performance Management**

- Establish departmental processes, reporting systems, and performance benchmarks.

- Ensure compliance with international air freight regulations and company policies.

- Monitor service quality and customer satisfaction.

- Resolve escalations and ensure effective team coordination.

- Drive continuous improvement in departmental productivity and efficiency.
