Role & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer with robust expertise in Mechanical Product Design and Development to join our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead product design and development from conceptualisation to final production.
- Create 3D models, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare accurate 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Design and develop sheet metal components, mechanical assemblies, rotary mechanisms and plastic components.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances and material specifications.
- Handle product prototyping, testing, design validation and modifications.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement, quality and vendor teams to ensure smooth product development.
- Conduct design feasibility studies and ensure products are functional, reliable and cost-effective.
- Work with materials such as brass, steel, wood, leather, sheet metal and other engineering materials.
- Support manufacturing through cutting drawings, nesting and production documentation.
- Identify design issues during prototyping and implement necessary improvements.





Preferred Candidate Profile:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and product development within manufacturing industries.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies and detailed drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 2D engineering drafting.
- Practical experience in sheet metal design, CNC machining and mechanical product development.
- Understanding of rotary mechanisms, plastics, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in product conceptualisation, prototyping and design iteration.
- Knowledge of BOM, BOQ and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in furniture, automobile, industrial products or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of KeyShot, 3DS Max, Maya and laser cutting will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
