- Key Responsibilities & Functional Deliverables

- A. Standard Room & Metrology ManagementOperate and maintain precision metrology instruments and advanced testing software (including Mahr software for roughness, form, and contour measurement).

- Perform precision dimensional, geometric (GD&T;), surface finish, and contour checks on manufactured bearings, rings, rollers, and components against approved engineering drawings.

- Oversee tool, jig, fixture, and gauge management—including regular verification, maintenance, receipt/issue controls, and storage.

- Execute and monitor the master calibration schedule for all gauges, micrometers, dial indicators, and standard room instruments to guarantee zero overdue calibrations.

- B. In-Process & Line Quality ControlConduct routine GEMBA walks and line inspections across production cells to ensure process adherence and parameter compliance.

- Audit and verify product dimensions, visual appearance, and critical characteristics at each manufacturing station in accordance with Quality Route Cards.

- Execute process validation audits on critical processes (e.g., heat treatment, grinding, super-finishing) to verify operating parameters against control plans.





- Enforce shop floor discipline regarding non-conforming parts and segregation protocols.

- C. Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA)Perform receiving inspection of incoming raw materials, turned blanks, cages, rolling elements, and bought-out components per approved Quality Inspection Plans (QIP).

- Conduct dimensional, visual, and metallurgical verification for current incoming development parts to support supplier qualification.

- Issue Goods Receipt Quality Inspection reports in the ERP system and maintain physical non-conformance quarantine for rejected lots.

- D. Layout Inspection & Development Support NPD Layouts: Perform complete layout inspections for New Product Development (NPD) lots to validate initial tooling and process feasibility.

Customer Sample Layouts: Prepare detailed customer layout inspection reports conforming to customer-specific specifications and PPAP requirements.

Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) Layouts: Carry out exhaustive final layout inspections on finished lots prior to dispatch clearance.

- Customer Complaint Layouts: Conduct failure and layout analysis on returned/complaint components to identify dimensional or functional root causes.
