Workforce Analytics Analyst – Resource Management Group

Role Overview

We are looking for a Workforce Analytics Analyst to support the Resource Management Group through workforce reporting, analytics, and automation.

The role will involve working with workforce data such as utilization, bench, demand, deployment, capacity,

headcount, and hiring fulfilment, and converting this data into meaningful reports and dashboards for business and leadership teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Advanced Excel, VBA/Macros, and Power

BI, along with a good understanding of workforce or resource management metrics.

MIS & Utilization Reporting Focus A key part of this role is owning the MIS and utilization reporting for the Resource Management Group. The candidate should be able to prepare accurate utilization reports from scratch, covering billable, non-billable and bench hours at the employee, project, practice and account level. Beyond preparing the reports, the candidate should use analytics to make them sharper: spotting gaps and data mismatches (for example, between timesheets, allocation records and HRMS data), flagging low-utilization pockets, long-bench cases and delayed deployments, and pointing out where utilization can be improved.

The aim is to move the reports from simply showing numbers to explaining what is driving them and what action the business should take.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and own weekly and monthly utilization reports (billable, non-billable and bench) at employee, project, practice and account level.
- Reconcile utilization data across, allocation and RMG Reports, and fix gaps and mismatches before reports are shared.




- Use analytics to find the reasons behind utilization trends and recommend actions to improve them.
- Maintain and analyse workforce data covering utilization, bench, demand, deployment, capacity headcount, and fulfilment.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc workforce reports for business and leadership reviews.
- Develop and automate Excel-based reports, trackers, and dashboards using Advanced Excel,
- VBA/Macros, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and basic DAX calculations for workforce and business reporting.

• Identify trends, gaps, and exceptions in workforce data and provide actionable insights.
- Support analysis of the business and revenue impact of utilization, bench, delayed deployment, and open demand.
- Work closely with Resource Management, Finance, HR, Talent Acquisition, Delivery, and Business teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate existing reporting and MIS processes.

Required Skills

- Proven hands-on experience preparing utilization reports and RMG/MIS reports, preferably in an IT Services company.
- Ability to explain utilization numbers and insights clearly to business and leadership teams.
- 3 Plus years of relevant experience in Workforce Analytics, Resource Management, MIS, BusinessAnalytics, or a similar role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Advanced Excel.
- Good working knowledge of VBA/Macros, Power Query, Power Pivot, Pivot Tables, and advanced Excelformulas.
- Hands-on experience in Power BI dashboard development.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of DAX and data modelling.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to data accuracy.
- Ability to work with large datasets and present insights in a clear, business-friendly manner.
- Experience in an IT Services workplace and familiarity with metrics such as utilization, bench,demand, deployment, and fulfilment would be an advantage.
