What you will do (Job Specific Details on the nature of the job and responsibilities).

We’re looking for a Workday Technical Engineer who combines robust Workday integration and reporting skills with hands-on experience applying AI to HR processes. You’ll build and support Workday integrations, extensions, and reports. You’ll also design AI-enabled solutions, such as intelligent automation, conversational agents, and predictive insights, that make Workday more useful for employees, managers, and HR teams. You’ll work closely with HRIS, People, Finance, IT, and Security teams.

What you’ll do

- Design, build, and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday web services (SOAP and REST).

Connect

Workday to payroll, benefits, identity (Entra ID), and downstream systems.

- Develop AI-enabled solutions on top of Workday data. Examples include LLM-powered assistants for HR policy and self-service questions, intelligent case routing, document extraction, and anomaly detection in HR and payroll data.
- Evaluate and configure Workday’s own AI capabilities, including Workday AI features and agents. Help the business decide where to adopt them and how to govern them.
- Build solutions with Workday Extend and Orchestrate,



plus middleware such as Oracle Integration Cloud or Workato, to automate multi-step processes across systems.
- Create and maintain advanced reports, calculated fields, and RaaS that feed analytics and AI use cases.

Work with Prism Analytics where applicable.

- Make sure AI solutions meet data privacy, security, and compliance requirements (GDPR, SOC, and internal AI policy), including access controls, data minimization, prompt and output logging, and human review of sensitive decisions.
- Support Workday releases. Review semi-annual release features, test integrations and AI features in sandbox, and manage regression testing.
- Troubleshoot production issues in integrations, provisioning, and security, and drive root-cause fixes.
- Document solutions and train the team on integration patterns, AI use cases, and best practices.
