Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Web Developer to join our team and lead the creation, customization, and maintenance of our digital properties. In this role, you will manage both back-end and front-end development, ensuring websites are visually appealing, highly functional, and optimized for performance.

A core focus of this position is the ability to engineer custom WordPress plugins from scratch to extend website functionality and meet unique business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Website Creation & Architecture: Design, build, and manage responsive websites from initial concept through deployment, ensuring seamless user experiences across all devices and browsers.

Custom Plugin Development: Architect, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins to introduce bespoke features, integrate third-party APIs, and solve complex functional requirements.

Theme Customization: Develop and customize WordPress themes using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, maintaining a clean, scalable, and secure codebase.

Performance Optimization: Monitor website performance, conduct speed optimizations, and troubleshoot any backend issues or bugs to ensure maximum uptime and quick loading speeds.

Security & Maintenance: Implement robust security measures, perform routine updates to core WordPress, themes, and plugins,



and manage regular site backups.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the digital team to translate business needs into technical specifications and deliver high-quality digital products.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 3+ years of proven professional experience in full-cycle web development and website creation.

Core Technologies: Advanced proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and MySQL.

WordPress Expertise: Deep understanding of the WordPress core, database architecture, and the WordPress REST API.

Plugin Engineering: Demonstrable portfolio of custom-built WordPress plugins and complex theme integrations.

Version Control: Experience with Git and standard deployment workflows.

UI/UX Principles: Strong grasp of web accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and UI/UX best practices.

Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical roadblocks.
