Role Description The Wine Steward will be responsible for developing, curating, and managing the wine programme at The Frame, ensuring that selections complement the culinary offerings and distinctive atmosphere of the dining space. This full-time, in office role in New Delhi involves guiding guests through the wine list, recommending suitable pairings, and providing engaging tasting notes to enhance their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Curate and manage the wine selection, ensuring it complements the restaurant’s culinary offerings and overall dining concept.
- Recommend wines and food pairings based on guest preferences, menu selections, and flavour profiles.
- Guide guests through the wine list, offering clear explanations, tasting notes, and informed recommendations.
- Oversee wine service, ensuring appropriate presentation, handling, storage, and serving temperatures.
- Manage wine inventory, cellar organisation, stock rotation, and record-keeping.
- Assist with wine procurement, supplier coordination, pricing, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to develop wine-pairing menus and enhance the overall beverage experience.
- Train and guide Front-of-House team members on wine knowledge, pairing fundamentals,



and service standards.
- Contribute to wine tastings, curated experiences, and special events.
- Maintain high standards of guest engagement, beverage service, and hospitality.

Qualifications

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in wine service, wine curation, or beverage operations, preferably in a premium restaurant, fine-dining establishment, or luxury hotel.
- Strong wine expertise, including food and wine pairing skills and sommelier-level knowledge.
- Relevant wine certification or formal training in wine studies or hospitality management; advanced sommelier credentials are preferred.
- Experience in wine sales, guest recommendations, and promoting wine selections to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue.
- Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations, restaurant service standards, and coordination with kitchen and bar teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain wine selections and engage confidently with guests.
- A customer-focused approach, refined hospitality skills, and the ability to deliver attentive and personalised service.
- Strong organisational skills, particularly in inventory management, record-keeping, and wine programme administration.
- Prior experience in premium restaurants, fine-dining establishments, luxury hotels, or experiential dining environments.
- Familiarity with Indian and international wine markets is an advantage.
