Role Description The Welder role at MECh Engineers is a full-time, on-site position based in Valsad. The Welder will perform welding operations on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, and other critical equipment, adhering to project specifications, welding procedures, and applicable codes. Daily responsibilities include preparing and setting up materials, selecting appropriate welding processes, executing high-quality welds, and inspecting welds for accuracy and structural integrity.

The role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings,



collaborating with fabrication and quality teams, and following safety protocols and quality standards. The Welder will also support equipment maintenance of welding tools, contribute to continuous improvement in fabrication practices, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Welding skills, including proficiency in Arc Welding and experience with critical fabrication work.
- Candidates should possess TIG Welding skills suitable for corrosion-resistant alloys and precision welds.
- Candidates should possess MIG Welding skills for structural components and production welding tasks.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including basic metallurgical properties and behavior of different alloys under heat and stress.
- Relevant technical qualification such as ITI, diploma, or vocational training in welding or fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with welding standards and quality inspection practices used in heavy engineering and pressure equipment fabrication.
- Strong focus on safety, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in heavy fabrication, pressure vessels, or process equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
- Valuable teamwork, communication, and reliability in meeting project timelines and quality expectations.
