Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Carpenter Trainer to conduct practical and theoretical training for eligible beneficiaries under the PM Vishwakarma Advanced Skill Training Programme.

The trainer will be responsible for delivering quality, hands-on training in carpentry techniques, woodworking, furniture making, modern tools, workplace safety, and productivity enhancement, in accordance with the applicable PM Vishwakarma training curriculum and programme guidelines.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions for Carpenter (Suthar) beneficiaries under the PM Vishwakarma Advanced Skill Training Programme.
- Deliver training as per the approved curriculum, Qualification Pack (QP), and National Occupational Standards (NOS), wherever applicable.
- Provide practical demonstrations on woodworking techniques, cutting, shaping, joining, assembling, finishing, and furniture repair.
- Train candidates in the secure and effective use of traditional carpentry tools, power tools, and modern woodworking equipment.
- Educate beneficiaries on workplace safety, proper handling of machinery, maintenance of tools, and quality standards.
- Support trainees in improving craftsmanship, productivity, product quality, and modern carpentry skills.
- Maintain daily attendance, training records, practical assessment records, and batch documentation as per programme requirements.
- Conduct regular practical exercises, skill evaluations, and mock assessments to prepare beneficiaries for final assessment and certification.
- Ensure proper maintenance of carpentry tools, machinery, equipment, and training lab facilities.




- Coordinate with the Training Centre Manager and programme team for smooth batch implementation, monitoring, and reporting.

Educational Qualification & Experience

- ITI / Diploma / relevant vocational certification in Carpentry, Woodworking, Furniture Making, or a related trade is preferred.
- Candidates with substantial practical experience in carpentry, furniture manufacturing, or woodworking are encouraged to apply, subject to applicable programme eligibility criteria.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant industry or training experience preferred.
- Prior experience as a trainer under PM Vishwakarma, PMKVY, Skill India, or other government skill development programmes will be an added advantage.
- Training of Trainers (ToT) certification from the relevant Sector Skill Council is preferred and must be obtained wherever mandated by programme guidelines.

Required Skills

- Strong practical knowledge of carpentry and woodworking techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of furniture assembly, finishing, measurements, and material handling.
- Good communication and practical demonstration skills.
- Ability to train traditional artisans and beneficiaries with different educational backgrounds.
- Basic knowledge of attendance management, training documentation, and assessment procedures.
- Proficiency in the local language is preferred.

- Willingness to work at assigned PM Vishwakarma Training Centres.
- Ability to conduct practical training sessions independently.
- Readiness to undergo required ToT certification or orientation programmes.
- Commitment to maintaining training quality, safety standards, and programme compliance.

Salary: Based on qualification, experience, and programme norms. Work Location: Tanuku, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh
