About the Role

You'll own and evolve our CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and reliability practices, so engineering teams

ship faster and safer. You'll also mentor junior engineers and drive DevOps best practices across teams.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
- Manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Run and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads (Docker, Helm, EKS/AKS/GKE).
- Implement GitOps-based deployments (ArgoCD or Flux) and keep dev, test, staging, and prod consistent.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Drive SRE practices: SLOs, incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call rotation.
- Embed security into pipelines (DevSecOps): secrets management, vulnerability and image scanning, IAM, and compliance for public-sector data.
- Own backups, disaster recovery, and high availability, including multi-region design.
- Optimize cloud costs, performance, and availability.




- Automate operational tasks and write documentation and runbooks.
- Mentor team members and review infrastructure designs.

Required Skills

- Experience: 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles
- AWS: Solid, proven hands-on experience running production workloads on AWS: compute, networking, storage, databases, IAM
- Containers: Expert in Kubernetes and Docker; Helm
- Infrastructure as Code: Expert in Terraform; CloudFormation or Ansible a plus
- GitOps: ArgoCD or Flux
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
- Scripting: Bash, Python, or Go
- Linux and networking: Solid Linux administration; DNS, load balancers, VPC/subnets, firewalls, TLS
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or CloudWatch
- Security: Least-privilege IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning
- Version control: Git, branching strategies, pull-request workflows

Good to Have

- Certifications: CKA/CKAD, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate.
- Service mesh (Istio), HashiCorp Vault, or Crossplane.
- Multi-region and disaster recovery design.
- DevSecOps tools: SAST, dependency, and container image scanning (for example CodeQL, Snyk, Trivy).
- Serverless (Lambda, Azure Functions).
- FinOps and platform engineering.
- Compliance experience with public-sector or criminal justice data
