Role Description The Technical Sales – Special Purpose Machine role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The person in this role will identify prospective customers, understand their automation needs, and propose suitable special purpose machine solutions. Day-to-day tasks include preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, coordinating with engineering teams to refine solutions, and following up on leads to convert them into orders.

The role also involves supporting customers with technical queries, ensuring timely responses, and maintaining long-term relationships through regular visits and communication.



The individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve sales targets and contribute to planning sales strategies for the region.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Technical Sales and Sales skills to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and close deals for special purpose machines.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, manage expectations, and maintain ongoing client relationships.
- Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities to understand machine specifications, address technical queries, and coordinate with engineering teams.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields are beneficial.
- Experience in industrial automation, capital equipment, or special purpose machine sales is an advantage.
- Ability to work in office, travel to customer locations, manage multiple opportunities, and use CRM or sales tracking tools effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills, negotiation abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset are preferred.
