# Technical Architect - OutSystems

### Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect - OutSystems(923) who can take ownership of the technical architecture and delivery of complex applications built on the OutSystems platform.

The role involves working closely with development teams, business stakeholders and clients to design scalable solutions, provide technical direction, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure that OutSystems applications are developed in line with enterprise architecture and development standards.

### Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture &

- Solution Design

- Lead the technical design and architecture of complex OutSystems applications.
- Define application architecture, technical standards, design patterns and development guidelines.
- Design scalable and maintainable solutions using OutSystems O11 and/or ODC.
- Prepare detailed Technical Design Specifications (TDS) for OutSystems applications.
- Evaluate technical feasibility of business requirements and identify potential implementation challenges.
- Identify technical risks, effort-intensive requirements and architecture-related concerns at an early stage.
- Ensure the architecture remains aligned with business and technical requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Select appropriate integration approaches, reusable components and development frameworks.

OutSystems Development &

- Delivery

- Provide hands-on technical guidance to OutSystems development teams.
- Ensure applications are developed using OutSystems best practices and established architecture patterns.
- Work on complex integrations, performance optimization and platform-specific technical challenges.
- Ensure effective use of OutSystems Forge components, reusable frameworks and custom accelerators wherever appropriate.
- Support the development and deployment of scalable, production-grade OutSystems applications.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

Team Leadership &

- Mentoring





- Lead and technically guide OutSystems developers and junior/associate architects.
- Mentor team members on OutSystems development, architecture and coding standards.
- Conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to internal technical communities.
- Develop and share technical training material covering OutSystems architecture, development practices and design patterns.
- Contribute to organizational knowledge repositories based on project experience and learnings.

Client &

- Stakeholder Management

- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements and explain proposed solutions.
- Present architecture decisions, technical approaches and OutSystems capabilities to clients.
- Build strong working relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
- Participate in discussions related to technical feasibility, solution design and implementation approach.

Pre-Sales Support

- Support solution discussions, technical proposals and effort estimation activities.
- Review proposed technical solutions and provide OutSystems-specific recommendations.
- Participate in client presentations, solution discussions and Proof of Concept activities when required.

### Required Technical Skills
- 9+ years of overall experience(relevant should be 8+yrs in IT) in a technical role involving software architecture and solution design.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with OutSystems is mandatory.
- Solid hands-on experience with OutSystems O11 and/or ODC.
- At least 4 years of experience in a Technical Lead / Team Lead capacity.
- Experience designing and delivering large-scale, production-grade OutSystems applications.




- Strong understanding of OutSystems architecture patterns and development best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of OutSystems cloud deployment models.
- Hands-on understanding of OutSystems LifeTime and software development lifecycle management.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript,
- Experience in mobile application development using OutSystems.
- API: REST and SOAP web services, design and integration patterns.
- Relational databases: Any
- Strong understanding of OutSystems data modelling.
- Knowledge of application security, data privacy and secure development practices.
- Ability to understand how OutSystems integrates with broader enterprise technologies and systems.

### Certifications At least one of the following OutSystems certifications is preferred/required:
- OutSystems Architecture Specialist –
- O11
- OutSystems Architecture Specialist –
- ODC
- OutSystems Tech Lead –
- O11

Additional OutSystems certifications such as Professional Developer or Associate Reactive Developer will be an advantage. ### Education

Bachelor’s Degree Or Equivalent Qualification In

- Computer Science
- Computer Engineering
- Information Technology
- Any other relevant IT/technical discipline
