Tech Lead - Data & Telemetry (AWS IoT)

About the role

You will join a team taking over engineering and production support of a live connected vehicle cloud platform for a leading Indian automotive OEM. The platform serves multiple vehicle programmes on the road today, so reliability comes first. You will own the vehicle telemetry pipeline, from AWS IoT Core through to the data stores, and lead the Data & Telemetry team.

What you will do

- Own the telemetry flow: AWS IoT Core, IoT Rules, Lambda, MongoDB, Redis and MySQL
- Own capacity, performance and data retention
- Review designs and sign off root-cause analysis for data-side incidents




- Work with the customers technical lead on priorities and plan the teams work

What you will need

- 10-12 years in data engineering, with at least 2 years leading teams of 5 or more
- AWS IoT Core, IoT Rules and MQTT
- AWS Lambda
- Streaming data design
- Performance tuning on MongoDB, Redis and MySQL

Good to have

- Kinesis or Kafka
- Spark or Flink
- Vehicle Signal Specification (VSS)

Education B.E. / B.Tech, M.Tech or MCA in Computer Science, IT or Electronics & Communication

Experience

10-12 years
