Job Purpose

This position is responsible for Shift Mechanical Maintenance activities round the clock for BTG and BOP areas including Ash Handling Plant. Attending defects and anomalies supporting operation team for smooth operations of the power plant. Emergency response and collaboration with control room during emergencies. Supporting maintenance department during annual overhauling activities during silent hours.

Safety, Hygiene & Environment To build a strong Safety culture in the organization with the objective of improving productivity and to provide a safe working workplace to employees, contractors and associates

1. Implementation of Hindalco safety standards.
2. Ensure implementation of all corporate safety guidelines.
3. Ensure development of HIRA & JSA for all the activities and implementation of the same to ensure zero incident.
4. Execution of safety points/observations and closure in shifts.

Sustainability Creating an environment friendly, socially responsible and sustainable organization. Increased focus on renewable energy & greening of environment. Achieving balance between Profit and Environment

Attending fugitive emission leakage defects in shifts on priority.
2. Attending water and oil leaks thereby minimizing losses.
3. Implementing hazardous waste disposal guidelines.
4. Regular housekeeping of lube oil skids in shifts and maintaining LLF.

Customer Centricity Plant availability with zero customer complaints
1. Ensure Engineering Equipment upkeep and availability for customer satisfaction.
2. Achieving 90% closure of operational defects.
3. Reducing leakages and losses.

Cash Stores Inventory & Capex Monitoring
1. Optimization of spares and consumables.
2. Controlling workmen OT

Cost & Volumes Achieve Rated volumes and R&M; Expenses
1. Controlling workmen OT
2. Reduction of maintenance cost by reducing repetitive defects by attending them permanently.
