A purpose driven role for you
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Process Audits & Gap Analysis: Conduct deep-dive on-site audits at struggling vendor plants, map out end-to-end manufacturing process bottlenecks, and assess line capacity, tooling wear, and operator compliance.
- Supplier Handholding & Issue Resolution: Work floor-side with vendors to execute daily corrective actions, re-establish process controls (such as PQCS, PFMEA, and Control Plans), and resolve complex electrical/electronic and imported part defects.
- PPM Reduction & Quality Turnaround: Analyze defect trends using statistical tools (SPC, MSA), enforce strict 8D root-cause problem-solving frameworks, and run verification audits on sample lots before shipment.
A Day in the life
You will be working on day-to-day basis on following:
- Conducting deep-dive on-site audits: Visiting struggling vendor plants to evaluate manufacturing lines, tooling wear, and operator compliance.
- Mapping manufacturing bottlenecks: Identifying and analyzing end-to-end process constraints across vendor plants.
- Executing floor-side vendor handholding: Working directly on the shop floor with vendors to implement and guide daily corrective actions.
- Re-establishing process controls: Enforcing standard frameworks like PQCS, PFMEA, and Control Plans on production lines.
- Analyzing defect trends and driving 8D problem-solving: Utilizing statistical tools (SPC, MSA) and strict 8D frameworks to investigate and resolve quality defects.
- Running formal Run@Rate stress tests: Evaluating vendor lines to optimize capacity, align output with volume demands, and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Interacting regularly with NPD, SQA, Supply Chain, and R&D; stakeholders to resolve active production and design discrepancies.
