Motherson Prysm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of mechanical components, assemblies, and structural systems for its display product portfolio.

In this role, you will manage the complete mechanical product development lifecycle, from concept design and 3D modelling through prototyping, testing, validation, and manufacturing documentation. The position requires strong expertise in mechanical design, CAD tools, manufacturing processes, vendor coordination, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures, and structural packaging for display products.

- Manage mechanical product development from concept design through prototyping and final product release.

- Create and maintain detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, 3D models, engineering specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

- Perform mechanical design verification, testing, teardown, and validation to ensure compliance with functional and performance requirements.

- Work with manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, aluminum die casting, plastic and rubber injection moulding, and precision machining.

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on component development, tooling, fabrication, prototyping, and quality inspection.

- Manage prototype development, component procurement, fabrication, assembly, and testing.

- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports to validate product performance and quality standards.

- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, APQP processes, R&D; guidelines, and product development timelines.





- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Software, R&D;, Manufacturing, and Quality.

- Identify design improvements, optimize product performance, and develop cost-effective engineering solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Must-Have Skills

- Mechanical design and product development.

- 3D modelling and 2D detailing using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.

- Mechanical enclosure design and prototype development.

- Experience with sheet metal, aluminum die casting, plastic and rubber injection moulding, and machining.

- BOM management, vendor development, and component validation.

- Experience in the electronics, display products, or mechanical manufacturing industry.

- Strong hands-on experience in 3D modelling, 2D detailing, mechanical enclosure design, and manufacturing processes.

- Proven experience in vendor coordination, prototype development, component testing, and product validation.

- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience designing mechanical enclosures for electronic equipment.

- Knowledge of APQP and engineering quality standards.

- Experience with Arena BOM tools.

- Exposure to international engineering teams and cross-functional R&D; environments.
